A108
The A108 is a temperature controller designed for solar heating systems. It features two sensors and a relay output to activate the circulation pump based on the temperature difference between the collectors and the storage tank. The pump can also be manually activated for a defined period of time. In addition to online monitoring, the A108 solar heating system temperature controller records minimum and maximum temperatures.

Solar heating
The A108 is the controller designed for water heating systems in pools or storage tanks.
Fixing options
A practical and versatile product! To facilitate the controller’s installation, the Black Line was designed with two set up options: clips and screws.

Pump activation
In addition to automatic activation by temperature differential, the pump can be manually activated by holding down the “A” key for 2 seconds..
Quick configuring with FastKey
How long does it take to configure multiple controllers? With FastKey, just a blink of an eye! FastKey copies the settings from an already configured controller and efficiently replicates them onto others with ease and convenience.

Remote monitoring with WebFi
Ageon’s monitoring system, WebFi, enables you to remotely monitor your Black Line controller via email alerts. It’s easy to configure and eliminates the need for a computer to be connected to the device for it to perform its function.

Frequently asked questions
The A108 continuously monitors the temperature of the solar collector and the tank in real-time and activates the water circulation pump when the temperature difference reaches the value set in parameter r0 and turns it off when the difference equals parameter r1. The controller’s goal is to ensure that solar heating for pools (or other types of tanks) operates with maximum efficiency.
Sensor 1 (solar collector): It should be installed at the outlet of the solar collector, which is the point where the water is hottest after passing through the collector. This allows the controller to measure the maximum temperature reached.
Sensor 2 (pool): Place this sensor in the water return to the pool, preferably near the bottom, where the water is at a lower temperature. This way, the controller can measure the pool water temperature to determine when to activate the system.
The sensors should be placed in appropriate thermowells, which allow heat exchange between the sensor and the water without the sensor being directly exposed. Avoid routing the sensor cables near sources of electrical interference, such as motors or power cables. Use conduits to protect the sensor cables from weather conditions and potential damage.
The A108 temperature controller will display “E1” or “E2” when it detects an issue with one of the sensors. “E1” refers to the sensor installed in the collector, while “E2” indicates a problem with the sensor installed in the tank (pool). In these cases, it is recommended to check if the sensor wire has disconnected from the terminal or if the sensor cable is damaged.
The A108 controller has various system protection functions, such as activation to prevent freezing in the collector, collector overheating, programmed recirculation, or maximum pump operation time. In these cases, the controller may turn the pump on or off according to the protections defined in the parameters (refer to the product user guide).
